“There are times as a parent when you realize that your job is not to be the parent you always imagined you’d be,
the parent you always wished you had. Your job is to be the parent your child needs,
given the particulars of his or her own life and nature.”
– Ayelet Waldman
Circle of Security workshops
The Circle of Security (COS) is a relationship-based early intervention program designed to enhance attachment security between parents and children. The COS intervention and the graphic designed around it are intended to help caregivers increase their awareness of their children’s needs and whether their own responses meet those needs. With evening, weekend, and personalised group workshop structures available, interested parents, groups, and organisations can register to learn more about the COS intervention at a time suitable to them.
PEPP Talk workshops
The PEPP Talk (Preparing Emotionally for the Perinatal Period) was created by Peach Tree Perinatal Wellness to help prepare expecting parents for the emotional realities that go hand in hand with the transition to parenthood. With two (2) workshops during the third trimester, and a further two (2) workshops after baby’s birth, PEPP Talks are unique in looking at the before and after perspective of becoming parents – the expectations, realities, and challenges we face as individuals, parents, partners, friends, and colleagues.
